Craig Smith
and Ricky John have similar beginnings; both are from Shreveport and have
graduated from Loyola College Prep and LSU Law School. Now, as law partners,
they practice in state and federal courts at the trial and appellate levels.
Both are members of the Louisiana State Bar Association and the Federal Fifth
Circuit Bar Association.
Craig and
Ricky are currently serving seventh terms in the House of Delegates of the
Louisiana State Bar Association for the First Judicial District Court which
encompasses all of Caddo Parish. The House of Delegates is the policy making
body of the Louisiana State Bar Association. Craig and Ricky are past
members of the Harry V. Booth and Henry A. Politz Chapter of the American Inns
of Court which is a group of select judges and lawyers dedicated to
improving the skills, professionalism, and ethics of the bench and bar.
Previously, Craig chaired the Criminal Law Committee of the Shreveport Bar Association
and Ricky chaired
the Continuing Legal Education Committee for the Shreveport Bar Association.
Craig and his wife, Mary Ann, are parents to
Craig III, Jack and Mary Kathryn. He has served as Vice-President of the St. Joseph
Parish Finance Council and is a past board member of the Young Lawyer's Section
of the Shreveport Bar Association. Additionally, he has served as a Teen Court
Judge.
Ricky and his wife, Angela, are parents to Corley,
Grant and Bridget. Ricky has served as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Soldiers' Angels, a nonprofit organization dedicated to
providing aid and comfort to the members of our armed forces. He also served as
the Chairman of Soldiers' Angels, Operation Katrina Soldiers Relief Fund. He has served as President of McDade House, a hospitality house.
Both Craig
and Ricky are dedicated to providing their clients with legal representation
that caters to each client's individual needs.
